IAHV UK is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions, contact us at info@iahv.org.uk.
We collect personal data that you provide to us directly, and a limited amount of technical data when you use our website.
- Enquiries: when you use our contact, volunteering or London Centre forms, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if given) and your message.
- Donations: when you donate by card, our payment provider Stripe collects your name, email address, billing address and donation amount. Card details are handled securely by Stripe and are never stored by IAHV UK.
- Gift Aid: if you make a Gift Aid declaration, we collect your title, name, home address, postcode, email address, the declaration you agree to and the date you make it.
- Technical data: our hosting and security providers process limited data such as your IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and working.
We use your personal data to respond to your enquiries, process your donation and send you a receipt, claim Gift Aid from HM Revenue and Customs where you have made a valid declaration, keep the accounting and Gift Aid records we are required by law to retain, and understand how our website is used so we can improve it.
Our lawful bases for processing are your consent, our legitimate interests in running the charity, the performance of a contract, and compliance with our legal obligations, including HMRC requirements for Gift Aid.
We only share your data where necessary to provide our services and meet our legal obligations. We never sell your personal data.
- Stripe, to process card donations.
- HM Revenue and Customs, to claim Gift Aid.

We keep enquiry and volunteering data only for as long as we need it to help you, after which it is deleted.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@iahv.org.uk.
